Request
If an item is not available via ValleyCat, an interlibrary loan may be requested. Through Merced County 's interlibrary loan service, items can be borrowed from libraries throughout California and the US for a fee assessed by the lending library.
To complete an interlibrary loan request, borrowers must come into the library and present a current Merced County Library card in good standing.
Fees
Generally, fees for interlibrary loans are $10 per request for an item held in a California library and $15 per request for an item held in an out-of-state library. The fee is due when the item is requested.
